OFFICIALLY LICENSED SQUARE ENIX CAFE & SHOP
IN LOS ANGELES CELEBRATES ITS GRAND OPENING

The Cafe & Shop is Now Open With an Expanded Menu and Themed Merchandise

LOS ANGELES (June 27, 2026) – SQUARE ENIX today announced the grand opening of its officially licensed SQUARE ENIX Cafe & Shop Los Angeles, bringing fans an immersive dining and shopping experience inspired by beloved SQUARE ENIX titles.

Following a two-week soft opening period that was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans, guests can now enjoy an even wider selection of themed drinks, entrées and desserts inspired by popular SQUARE ENIX franchises, including FINAL FANTASY, DRAGON QUEST, and NieR:Automata.

Until walk-in dining becomes available at a later date, reservations are required for cafe dining and can be made through the official SQUARE ENIX Cafe & Shop Los Angeles website: https://www.sqexcafeandshopla.com/home#reservations.

In addition to the cafe experience, guests can visit the adjoining merchandise shop without a dining reservation. The shop offers a wide selection of official SQUARE ENIX merchandise, including SQUARE ENIX Official Shop exclusive items such as the L.A. Chocobo T-Shirt and L.A. Slime T-Shirt featuring commemorative artwork created to celebrate the first-ever permanent SQUARE ENIX Cafe & Shop location in the U.S.

Additionally, visitors can experience a massive 120’ x 20’ mural adorning the exterior wall of the Cafe & Shop. The artwork depicts Chocobo and Slime – iconic characters representing two of SQUARE ENIX's flagship franchises, the FINAL FANTASY and DRAGON QUEST series – enjoying a day of surfing on a Los Angeles beach.

The mural was specially designed by SQUARE ENIX for this installation and brought to life by Los Angeles-based graffiti artist Yoshi (MR44 / @44ism). Surrounding the character artwork is Yoshi's signature graffiti style, seamlessly blending his distinctive artistic vision with the world of SQUARE ENIX. The mural is poised to become a striking new landmark in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo neighborhood.
